Eastside Gallery//Berlin

Halfway done with my Berlin getaway! I’ve been hitting the pavement all day everyday to see as much as I can, but I also like to see things at a leisurely pace. The first day of my Berlin leg was a little bit of a transitional day. Day 2 was a lot smoother, I saw a lot of the city and made some friends in my tour group. It was a confidence booster, to be honest. I felt so lonely the day before but knowing that it is easy to strike up a conversation with someone if you just DO IT made all the difference.

And today I officially mastered the Ubahn and Sbahn (the German subways)! Well… Sort of mastered. I walked in a circle for about 20 minutes trying to find my way back, but I eventually figured it out!

Today’s adventure brought me to the Eastside Gallery, which was so amazing to see. The murals are so detailed and artistic. There was a massive fence lining the wall (darn it!!), but I managed to squeeze my hand through the gate to get some pictures of the wall. I’m genuinely surprised that I didn’t drop my phone on the other side of the barrier.. But here are my favorites!

I was obvi trying to look really cool while staring off into the distance because I’m #artsy, but it just feels awkward when a stranger is taking your picture.. My bun is on point, though.
