Homesick for Vegas

Officially two weeks out from my trip back to LAS VEGAS! It’s been four years since I’ve been home for Thanksgiving so I am suuuuuper duper excited to be heading home very soon.

I think I sometimes forget that I’m from such an awesome city because there is never a shortage of things to do or see (I mean, it’s not New York City, but it still has so much to offer).  So whenever I get the chance to enjoy some downtime at home, I don’t waste any time planning my adventures! Here are some of the fun things I did on my last visit!

Las Vegas Springs Preserve

I love the outdoors! So hitting up the Springs Preserve was a no brainer, but mostly because they had a BUTTERFLY HABITAT that you could walk through!

Neon Boneyard

The Neon Boneyard is home to more than 200 neon signs that used to line Las Vegas Boulevard, so it was really exciting to get up close and personal with them. The history behind them and the hotels they were a part of was really fascinating to learn. My friend Paige and I had a great time walking around the grounds and almost died of heat stroke only once…classic Vegas! You can book your guided tour tickets here!

East Fremont Eats

Downtown Las Vegas has transformed SO MUCH over the past decade, it truly is an artsy hub of amazing food, drinks, and entertainment (think Lower East Side + Neon signs everywhere).

Restaurants To Try:
VegeNation for vegan-friendly options! The hummus is AMAZING and the desserts are killer.

Families that drink together, stay together!

Park on Fremont for yummy burgers, fried pickles, and a rustic-chic interior! Oh, and this hardcore gazelle.

Not pictured: The Griffin, a dimly lit bar & lounge with cool couches and brick architecture…great for happy hour + Beauty Bar Salon, which offers manicures and pedicures by day and cocktails and concerts by night.

I can’t wait to plan some more adventures for my next trip home!
See you soon, Vegas!
