Goodbye 2016!

2016 will be one for the books…not only in the political, social, and global sense (GOOD LORD HELP US), but it was also a big one for me!  I have always loved the New Year sentiment of a clean slate and renewed sense of purpose #NewYearNewMe, but I also think it’s important to honor your accomplishments and milestones.

Goodbye 2016,
Thank you for all of my adventures and lessons.

I went on my first solo trip to Europe for three weeks!
I performed in my last college theatre production, Top Girls, and got to play a dream role of mine alongside incredibly talented friends.
I GRADUATED COLLEGE hellzzz yeahhhhh.
I spent two months at the Williamstown Theatre Festival where I met so many amazing artists and creatives, alike.
I went apartment hunting in NYC for the first time and found a stunning apartment that I now call home.
I crossed some more destinations off my list.
I read more books!
I questioned what I wanted to do with my life (for like the 50th time) and reminded myself that it’s okay to be confused and to not have all the answers…we’re not supposed to.
I juggled 4 part-time jobs with ease and grace and I’m totally kidding I don’t know how I did it.
I purchased more plane tickets.
I said yes to things that made me excited, and I said no to things that didn’t serve me.
I spent more time listening to my own voice and my own heart, and spent less time worrying about what other people think or what they’re expecting of me.
I applied to a job I was really excited about, nailed the interview, and will be working at a talent agency starting January 3!
I am open and ready for new adventures and I feel hopeful and excited for the year to come.

Dear 2017,

I’m excited to meet you and I know we’re going to have a great time together.
I can just feel it.

See you soon!
