Alright, New Yorkers, listen up. If you haven’t been up to the Hudson Valley yet, HERE IS YOUR SIGN. Just an hour and fifteen minute train ride from Grand Central via the Metro North, you will be transported to lush green hills and quaint small town vibes. I spent the weekend visiting my friend Maryn who was performing in the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and we had THE BEST WEEKEND EVER! Kayaking, doughnuts, vintage thrift shops, and some good ole nature! What more could a city girl need?
Bonus: If you don’t have anyone to stay with around the area, this a perfect day trip! Bring a friend and adventure around town! Take the Hudson Line on the Metro North to Cold Spring or Beacon.. tickets are anywhere from $14 – $22 one way, depending on peak/off peak hours!
Extra Bonus: Get off at Cold Spring and the kayaking tent is right across the street.. Get off at Beacon and you’re right at Main Street where there are so many cute shops and eateries!
I already miss our little gals weekend getaway and I most definitely will be returning to the Hudson Valley soon!
