my life in spark notes
Ok, so long story short…
As an only child of two Air Force parents, I moved around a lot as a kid. Every two years to be exact. I attribute my outgoing and independent personality to all of the moves I made, having to walk into new classrooms in the middle of the school year and make friends.
So it was a no-brainer to move to New York City at 18 years old to attend Fordham University at Lincoln Center where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance. I dreamt of being a star on screen and stage, and filled my time with school productions and entertainment internships every semester. But once graduation rolled around, I just couldn’t find my passion for it anymore.
A quick pivot to the business side of the industry landed me at two different talent agencies, working with some of the biggest actors in show biz. I absolutely loved my job and connecting with my clients, supporting them at their opening nights, and helping negotiate their deals was always so exciting to me. But yet again, I was craving more and looking for a new challenge.
Enter Bang Bang Tattoo, where I worked as a manager and director of communications for almost two years. I helped run our two shops in downtown NYC and handled all incoming press/interview requests for our 30+ world-class tattoo artists. I never knew which celebrity would walk in on any given day, hah. I loved it!
But still… I was craving more autonomy and freedom in my work. Realizing that I was ready to create my own path, I secretly enrolled in Esther Inman’s 90 Day VA (affiliate link!) in OCT 2020 and had my first client by JAN 2021. When I was blindsided by a layoff in APR 2021, I decided that this was the push I needed to make my dreams of working remote and having financial abundance a reality. I quickly became booked out with clients, assisting them as their virtual assistant.
After 6 months of VA work, I knew it was time to level up my skills again. Enter Deya Kuhnle’s DBM Bootcamp (affiliate link!) that helped me take on more strategic roles in my clients’ businesses. Now as an Online Business Manager, I am the right-hand woman to my CEO clients and manage the projects, systems, and teams within their companies.
I have never felt so aligned in the work that I do and I am so grateful that life didn’t go as “planned” because there was something so much more exciting in store for me. I am excited to continue to grow and expand my business and help more women become the CEOs they know they’re meant to be.
